Cantab Research is a privately held company formed in February 2006.  It is led by Tony Robinson (BA, MA, MPhil, PhD Cantab) who previously founded and managed SoftSound (1995-2005) and the Connectionist Speech Recognition research group at Cambridge University (1991-2000).   Cantab Research was incorporated with sufficient funding to commercialise on the business interests of the shareholders on a 2-5 year time frame as well as to provide limited consultancy services.
